What is the main cause of "blooming" on the surface of rubber seals? Dongpu seals tell you that the main reason comes from five main problems: o-type rubber seal formula design is not suitable, seal material quality fluctuation, rubber material aging, storage environment is poor, seal process operation and so on.

1. Improper design of rubber seals

        Saturated spray: common in sulfur, accelerators, active agents, anti-aging agents;

        Migration and ejection: common in processing aids, migration anti-aging agents. Antistatic agents;

        Producing a spray: commonly used in a sulfur vulcanization system as a promoter and a reaction product;

        Retention of reaction: common in organic peroxide vulcanization system, low molecular weight;

        Stress ejection: common in inorganic fillers;

2, rubber seals raw material quality fluctuations

        Due to different materials, different manufacturing methods, different processes, and different batches of raw materials, there will be great differences;

3, rubber seal specifications material aging

        Most of the rubber aging leads to the destruction of the complete balanced network structure of the vulcanized rubber, which also destroys the chemical or physical combination between the various compounding agents in the rubber system and the raw rubber molecules and the compounding agent, and reduces the compounding agent in the rubber. Solubility within the system.

4, rubber seals storage conditions are poor

        Temperature: The solubility of the compounding agent in the rubber generally rises and falls with the rise and fall of the temperature; the pressure of the rubber during storage, the humidity of the surrounding air, and the time also affect the solubility of the compounding agent, and generally have little effect. However, if the pressure is large, the compounding agent in the rubber of the pressed part will form a nucleus, which will be deposited on the rubber surface to form a frosting; if the humidity of the air is too large, the compounding agent with a large polarity in the rubber will be raw rubber (non- The effect of polarity) is weakened, the solubility of the compounding agent is decreased, which leads to blooming; the longer the storage time, the more obvious the frosting of the rubber surface, because the temperature and humidity of the air in the storage environment vary with the seasons, and the difference is large. It is easy to cause the solubility of the compounding agent to change, which leads to blooming.

5, the rubber seal process is improperly operated

        Uneven mixing results in poor dispersion, local over saturation

        The temperature of the rubber compound is too high, so that the compounding agent is excessively localized.

        Inaccurate weighing ;

        The vulcanization temperature is too high, causing blooming;

        The vulcanization temperature is too low, causing under-sulphur blooming;

        Insufficient curing time, resulting in low sulfur spray;

Improper handling of the spray release agent or wash water causes the rubber surface to become whitish.
